Stitchin' Post

As you can see I haven't posted in over a month. Sybil announced that The Stitchin' Post was closing at the end of March and I was in a panic to get everything finished and sold. But I have good news, Jane Bell and Linda Bowlby bought the Stitchin' Post and are moving it to 1500 1/2 Macon Drive in Macon Market. They were finishing up putting everything into storage today when I was there and the new building won't be ready until April 15th, but it will be all nice & new. New fabrics have been ordered and we will be getting in the new Viking Machines. They are building me a new Service Room (I won't be under the stair anymore) and I have a bunch of new Quilting Classes in the works. Today Peggy McQueen took a bunch of pictures of the quilt and cake we did for Sybil and I will be posting those as soon as she emails them to me.

Fat Quarter Project Bag

This is a copy of the Townsend Sock in a Bag Swap. I was able to make it out of 3 fat quarters. The outer fabric is from Timeless Treasures and is newspaper articles about cats too cute! Hopefully I'll get enough people interested to be able to have a class.

Cornacopia

This is a very unusual colored quilt, it is peach & lavendar. It is a moda pattern that had lavender and a very loud color of green and I substituted the peach and it now matches the beautiful rose border. The corners were made by leaving the setting triangles out of the the on point setting.

Pretty in Pink

I love making half square triangles and this is a beautiful pattern. Quilting will come later when I have a little more time, but I have the perfect pattern and Sulky Blendable thread.

Rupert

A good way to start my blog is with my constant companion Rupert. I rescued him 3 years ago as a 5 week old puppy that the vet wasn't sure would make it. He is now a healthy, happy boy at almost 100 lbs.
